What is Closing the Digital GAP?

Digital skills have become a fundamental need for inclusion and for personal and professional development. Yet many adults, especially women, migrants and people of colour, are being left behind by the digital divide. Closing the Digital GAP (CDG) is an Erasmus+ cooperation project that creates an accessible, reusable training programme combining tech skills, digital skills and personal development, so that 200 adult learners in the Netherlands and Spain can participate fully in the digital society and labour market.

The CDG program: three pillars

💻 Tech Skills

A 3-month programme, run four times, where participants explore careers in tech through hands-on IT challenges and assignments and discover whether a future in the tech sector is for them.

🌐 Digital Skills

Practical training on online visibility, cloud tools, cybersecurity awareness, e-commerce, GDPR and digital marketing, plus an introduction to AI and VR and how they affect our daily lives.

🚀 Personal Development

A 24-month coaching journey: every participant is matched with a job coach and joins group sessions on pitching, presenting, salary negotiation, financial well-being and more.

Plus: an open MOOC in English, Dutch and Spanish, the international workshop “AI & VR” for adult educators, and a European network of trainers.
