Partners
Two organisations, one mission
Closing the Digital GAP joins the strengths of two non-profit organisations: one with deep experience in (re-)training underrepresented groups into tech, the other an expert in European educational projects and e-learning. Together we can reach further than either of us alone.

Project coordinator · Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Stichting Zwarte vrouwen voor Technologie (ZVVT)
ZVVT — the Black Women for Technology Foundation — is an Amsterdam-based non-profit that (re-)trains primarily Black women into tech and supports underrepresented groups in developing digital skills and personal growth. The foundation informs people about the impact of technology on their daily lives and about career opportunities in tech, and organises tech events and hackathons where participants can experience the digital sector first-hand.
ZVVT’s IT career programme is the starting point of this project: participation grew by more than 50% in 2023, showing both the demand and the potential of this approach. Within CDG, ZVVT coordinates the project and leads the training of participants, contributing its expertise in developing education programmes for disadvantaged groups.

Partner organisation · Madrid, Spain
Asociación Building Bridges (ABB)
Building Bridges is a Madrid-based non-profit that promotes the social construction of Europe, the labour inclusion of people with fewer opportunities, and participation in EU programmes. With 14 years of experience in European projects, ABB runs the e-learning platform YesEuropa Academy, which has trained more than 2,000 students, and reached over 800 learners through its previous Erasmus+ project “No Gender Gap”.
Within CDG, ABB leads the development of the CDG educational programme and the selection of participants, contributing its experience in creating educational materials, managing e-learning and running digital marketing campaigns that bring training to those who need it most.
How we work together
Each partner leads the activities closest to its expertise: ZVVT coordinates the project and leads the training of participants, ABB leads the development of the CDG programme, and both organisations share the communication and marketing of the project — ZVVT in the Netherlands, ABB in Spain. A joint Project Management Committee meets every two months, and the partners come together in transnational project meetings in Madrid and Amsterdam throughout the project.
The cooperation is a win-win: ZVVT expands its IT career programme across Europe and reaches new groups, while ABB strengthens its training offer for disadvantaged women, learning from ZVVT’s specialised experience. Both organisations are supported by a network of associated partners and local entities in Amsterdam and Madrid that host activities and help disseminate the project results.
